Implementation on VAT to CON29 Update
We have today received confirmation that the implementation of VAT being applied to refined data provided by local councils in the form of enquiries of the CON29R and CON29O has been delayed until the 4th of July 2016. This date coincides with wider changes that are being made to the CON29 form.
The CIPFA VAT Committee have submitted a request to the HMRC that CON29 data continues to be receive non-business treatment in respect of VAT, and this is still being considered. A response is expected prior to the new implementation date of the 4th July.
We will of course continue to provide updates on this as soon as information becomes available.
