VAT UPDATE: Full implementation expected by 31st March
It's been just a couple of weeks since we heard that HMRC had confirmed the implementation on VAT on CON29 information in Council Searches from January, however it now seems like that deadline has been extended some some Local Authorities.
In a letter to CIPFA from the HRMC (published on the CIPFA website here), it has been made clear that there are some Local Authorites that will not be ready for the earlier date and have therefore been granted an extension. The HMRC expects that all Local Authorities will have made the necessary changes to allow for a full implementation no later than 31st March.
