The event aims to bring you up to date with what is happening in our industry and will feature the following mining themed seminars.

Ground Stability / Fracking update
Landmark will present a 1 hour CPD
Alison Parsons, Business Development Manager at Landmark presents this CPD which will focus on the issue of subsidence, looking specifically at risk assessment methods, how to reduce the risk of subsidence and the lender and insurer approach to the problem. The presentation will also explore the controversial subject of fracking and will look at how it can affect a homebuyer and proposed drilling sites.
 
Risk Screening and Historical Coal Mining
CLS will present 1 hour CPD
Geoff Offen, former Assistant Chief Surveyor at British Coal and now of CLS, will present two half hour seminars firstly looking at Title Insurance and risk screening in conveyancing. The second session will provide an insight into historical coal mining risks and provide guidance on key technical issues that affect Coal Mining.
 
Mining - What risks remain?
Mining Searches UK present 1 Hour CPD
Paul Raglan, Managing Director of Mining Searches UK, presents this CPD which looks at assessing and mitigating mining risk associated with historical metalliferous mining activity in the South West of England.
