At PSG we are constantly evolving our range of products and services to support property professionals. We have a number of enhancements in the pipeline throughout the year ahead to help streamline the workflow of conveyancers and extend our complete search service even further.

Risk Management and Anti-Money Laundering Update

Rhonda Treacy-Hales from Legal Eye will present a 1 hour CPD

Anti-Money Laundering training is a mandatory requirement.  Training must be conducted at least annually, when there are procedural changes, or when you need to draw attention to particular occurrences of money laundering. The UK is also increasingly an attractive investment opportunity for overseas investors.

So in this combined Risk Update and AML session, we will revisit the following areas:

  • Why is Money Laundering a Key Risk?
  • What is Money Laundering, how it relates to you - the offences.
  • What is a Risk Based Approach?
  • Reporting - particularly the procedural changes introduced by the NCA in June 2016
  • —Some areas of Good Practice highlighted by the recent SRA AML Report

If you’re not aware that:

  • The NCA no longer use the term “consent” in response to a Suspicious Activity Report,
  • The EU 4th AML Directive will be implemented by June 2017 with some potential changes to current procedures;
  • That over 90% of Client Care Documentation we see isn’t compliant

then this is one event you really can’t afford to miss!
