The Law Society’s Property Section will be hosting two workshops (London and Cardiff) focussing on fraud in property transactions and the techniques and technology you can engage to successfully manage risk to you, your clients and your business including:
Information on how frauds are perpetrated / techniques used
What are the threats and where are they coming from.
Practical common sense steps to protect you and your firm from falling victim to a scam

Peter Rodd
Peter is senior partner at 12-partner, high street practice Boys and Maughan in Margate, Kent. He a member of the conveyancing and land law committee and the CQS technical panel, Law Society council member for commercial property, and current secretary of the Isle of Thanet Law Society. He speaks and writes on a range of property-related topics.
Nick Podd
Nick has over 20 years’ experience working in both physical and data security within the military, and blue chip organisations in retail, finance and the not-for-profit sectors. He is qualified in Ethical Hacking and countermeasures, and trained in advanced penetration testing along with many industry-leading software applications. He is experienced in electronic security systems, along with building and asset security. Nick trains professionals and others in how to identify the characteristics of cyberstalking and to interpret the legislation. He also advises service users in cyber safety.
