This FREE 3 hour CPD session will take place on Wednesday 27th March at our offices in Barnsley.
Hosted by our expert training team, the event features informative seminars designed to bring you up to speed on issues facing the industry.
We'll look at:
Cyber Security
An NCSC survey found that over 60% of law firms had suffered from a cyber-attack in the last year but only 20% had provided cyber security training for their staff. Most instances of cyber crime target people rather than systems. The best defence is to train your staff (as recommended by the SRA and CLC). Our training course includes the following key areas relating to cyber crime:
Awareness of the regulations and risks
How to develop and adopt an effective cyber security policy
Training for staff on common scams
Employing technology to counter risks
Beyond Transparency: How to stand out in a level playing field
On the 6th of December 2018 the new Transparency rules came into force for SRA and CLC regulated law firms (14th January for CILEx regulated firms). The rules require all law firms to display price and service information on their websites. For law firms, the challenge in 2019 is how to stand out in a transparent marketplace. This seminar will cover the following:
A review of the Transparency rules post-implementation
A guide to what you need to display on your website to comply with the rules
An overview of the different approaches taken by law firms to date
How to provide an engaging website experience
Solutions to help your law firm stand out
