Implementation of VAT on CON29R & O Suspended
In October last year HMRC announced that they were seeking implementation of VAT being applied to refined data provided by local councils in the form of enquiries of the CON29R and CON29O.
The application on VAT was due to be implemented on 1st February 2016, however, late last Friday afternoon we received information that the Local Land Charges Institute had informed its members that the implementation of VAT has been suspended for a short time. This was confirmed yesterday by Mike Revis, Chairman of the VAT Committee at CIPFA. There is as yet no confirmed date as to when the charging VAT will commence.
